Nestled around one of
Kentucky Lake's largest embayments, the Jonathan Creek-Aurora area
offers endless opportunities for fishing, boating and outdoor
recreation, just minutes off the interstate in beautiful western
Kentucky.
While best known for its
spring Crappie run and excellent fishing year-round, Jonathan
Creek-Aurora also provides a wide range of activities, accommodations,
camping and dining. Located less than one mile from the central
entrance to the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, it is
the perfect choice when participating in the spring or fall quota hunts
or enjoying the miles of hiking/biking trails, attractions and 170,000
acres of natural surroundings that make LBL unique.
The avid golfer will find
a challenging selection of nearby courses. Restaurants offer
everything from home style meals to fine dining and area stores can
provide groceries, household items, bait & tackle, sporting goods
and even boat/motor repair. Visit the local antique, craft and
gift shops and take home a hand-crafted or collectible item of lasting
beauty. Annual events include the 4th of July Fireworks and Hot
August Blues Festival at Kenlake State Resort Park and the Aurora
